Experienced enough not to panic.
That line started as a bit of a joke, but it is probably the shortest most useful description of what I do.
Over the years I’ve helped organisations change, grow, shrink and recover from the occasional bout of self-inflicted chaos.
My work is rarely about finding entirely new answers.
It’s more about creating enough clarity to see the solutions hiding in plain sight. I look, I sip coffee, I ask and I listen.
Sometimes my work looks like a conversation, sometimes it’s a project. Sometimes it is designing systems, sometimes it’s dismantling the ones that have become too complicated to be useful.
The details vary. The process doesn’t.
Stop. Look. Listen. Think. Do.
